Summer holiday clubs 

BEE WILD HOLIDAY CLUB.  A woodland kindergarten site at Foredown Woods, open for children from 4-8 years old during the school holidays. Starts 9.30am-3pm for a day of adventure and play in nature, nurtured by Forest School practitioners. For cooking over a campfire, making friends, learning new skills, getting muddy, getting active and getting creative in the fresh air. Please note, at the moment the spaces for 3-year-olds are only available to children who already attend the kindergarten. All children aged 4 - 8 are welcome. Free after-school boardgames club 
Every Monday at 3:00pm - 4:30pm. Easthill Park Café is happy to provide an assortment of board games for use at the cafe, free of charge. Perfect for keeping the kids entertained in the afternoons! Support your toddlers speech and language development Or introduce pre-reading skills at classes using singing, dancing, props and games to help children aged 1-4 years develop important early literacy skills in a fun and engaging way. Our classes are regularly recommended by speech and language therapists for children with a speech delay.

Benfield Valley Project are a small group of local residents who are passionate about protecting and sharing the beauty of our local wildlife and wild spaces. Sussex Self Defence are teaching parents and kids about the dangers of knife crime and what you can do when running isn't an option. They teach awareness, de-escalation, avoidance and disarming. Any idiot can carry a knife, would you know what to do? If the answer is no, then the kid's club is every Thursday 5-6pm at Portslade Baptist Church followed by adult's/mixed 6-7pm. Bowls

Boxing

 

Mile Oak Boxing Academy. An amateur Boxing Club affiliated with England Boxing for children ages 10 - 15 years old (16+ also available). All the coaches are trained to level one and level two standards, equipped with certifications in Safeguarding, DBS, and First Aid. The Skate Club skateboarding  courses at Loxdale English Centre, BN41 2LA. Term-time and holiday skateboarding courses for aspiring skaters aged 5 to 12. Portslade Sports Centre snooker. The league runs from September to April, played on a Monday night from 7pm.

Boys Brigade is a Southwick based Christian activity group for girls from 3 to 12 years old. They meet on Wednesdays Activities include games and contests, craft and cooking, bible knowledge and drill, and much more – all mixed in with fun and friendship. Girls Brigade is a Southwick based Christian activity group for girls from 4 to 18 years old. They meet on Tuesday evenings from 6 to 7.30pm during term time. There are a variety of activities each week throughout the year including craft activities such as stained glass, colouring in, sawing, cooking and baking, games, quizzes, making a calendar, stories, camps, sleepovers, competitions, devotions and many other activities. Portslade Youth Club at the Village Centre run by the Hangleton and Knoll Project. A weekly club for young people aged 11+ where they can play table tennis, badminton, football or just chill out. There are also snacks and soft drinks. Every Friday between 4.30 - 6pm. A parent or guardian and a young person can apply for youth membership at www.hkproject.org.uk/docs  then e-mail the form to the Hangleton and Knoll Project at youth@hkproject.org.uk

Youth Bus at Portslade Aldridge Community Academy, BN41 2WS Monday's from 3pm. Available to local young people aged 11-19, and up to 25 for young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Term times only and free.
