Portslade History Day 2025  On Saturday the 6th September.  From 10am to 4pm in the Manor ruins grounds, St Nicolas church and Emmaus. Free history talks throughout the day, tours and walks. Children's art classes - For 6-11 year olds Classes are led by instructors from Cygnet's Brighton Art School.​ Dates: September 13th. ​Midday to 1pm​. Only 10 spaces available per session. Booking essential via the cafe

The Wonder Club is a creative programme designed for young people aged 13 to 18. It offers an exploration of early filmmaking and experimental moving image techniques with artist Chahine Fellahi. It is being held at HOVE MUSEUM Saturdays 13 September & 11 October. 11am–3pm Free but book in advance.

Ages 13 -18 (children 13+ can be unaccompanied) Uncover the groundbreaking innovations of local filmmakers and rekindle the spirit of discovery, enchantment and innovation that marked the early days of cinema. This is an exciting opportunity to experiment with techniques that led to contemporary filmmaking and contribute to exhibitions and events that will be taking place for the wider programme, Days of Wonder.
